AREA OF CONCERN: PRESUMPTIVE SALMONELLA POSITIVES IN A LARGE SCALE DRYER
Sterilex was contacted by a flavoring ingredient manufacturer who was experiencing presumptive Salmonella positives in a dryer.
Plant was using standard procedures for CIP cleaning and sanitization of their dryer. Peracetic Acid had been used to try to treat the issue with no success.
Sterilex proposed the following actions:
- Treat the dryer with Sterilex Ultra CIP and Ultra Activator as a deep clean and disinfection step.
- Repeat Sterilex product application on a quarterly basis.
- The plant was able to eliminate all presumptive positives and maintain those results.
