Sterilex’ EPA registered floor sanitizer, Sterilex Ultra Step, has been customized to address sanitation challenges and to solve quality control problems where routine treatments prove to be ineffective.
Unlike unregistered quat and peroxide based floor “treatments” that cannot be legally marketed or used to kill any organism, Sterilex has developed one of the only floor treatments that is EPA registered to kill food pathogens such as Listeria, Escherichia Coli (E. coli), Salmonella, and Enterobacter.
Legally, floor treatments without an EPA registration cannot be used with the intent to kill food-borne pathogens on the floor. Using an unregistered floor treatment without EPA registration can put you at risk during an audit.
Sterilex Ultra Step can be applied to floor surfaces, entryways and drain surfaces to prevent organism growth, kill harmful pathogens and provide an intervention to prevent cross contamination from workers walking into a production area from less sensitive areas of a plant.
Consisting of small blue, non-slip crystals, Sterilex Ultra Step also helps to prevent slippage on floor surfaces. The fine blue crystals are also able to settle into niches and hard to reach areas to achieve full coverage. Plus, this product lasts longer than many competitive products and, in general, can be used at a much lower rate than traditional floor treatments.
While Sterilex Ultra Step is effective in any food processing environment, it is particularly applicable for low moisture environments such as pet food plants, dry dairy ingredient manufacturers, and bakeries.
To apply Sterilex Ultra Step to a plant floor, we recommend the use of a Sterilex Premium Spreader. For smaller areas requiring coverage, a Sterilex Handheld Spreader may be used. For entryway applications, apply Sterilex Ultra Step at the labeled usage rates.
