Use In Industrial Process Water Systems

CIP system

In closed loop industrial process water systems, Sterilex Ultra Kleen Solutions 1 & 2 are used to remove biofilm and prevent the growth of organisms.

Sterilex Ultra Kleen Solutions 1 & 2, when mixed together, forms a low foaming, EPA-registered biocide, slimicide and algicide used to penetrate and remove biofilm and other organic contaminants from water systems. Ultra Kleen can penetrate the protective biofilm matrix, kill resistant microorganisms living in the biofilm, and remove the biofilm matrix from the surface.

As an EPA registered biocide and biofilm removal agent, Sterilex Ultra Kleen Solutions 1 & 2, when mixed together, are ideal for use in industrial water systems, piping, cooling water systems, process water systems used in pharma manufacturing, and any other industrial area where fouling can be an issue.

Sterilex Ultra Kleen Solutions 1 & 2  are effective against an array of organisms including gram positive and gram negative organisms as well as biofilm itself. Unlike other competitive biocides, Sterilex products fully remove the biofilm structure — increasing heat transfer efficiency and eliminating resistant microorganisms from the system.

Biofilms generally form on any surface that is exposed to non-sterile water or other liquids and is consequently found in many environmental, industrial and medical systems. Studies have shown that it can take over 1,000 times the dose of routine biocides to kill microorganisms in biofilms compared to free-swimming (planktonic) microorganisms.

Sterilex biocides based on our proprietary PerQuat® technology are EPA approved to “penetrate and remove biofilm” – the natural habitat for resistant microorganisms.

For closed loop industrial water systems, Sterilex Ultra Kleen Solutions 1 & 2 are mixed together at time of use, and then added to the system. The product can then be circulated or used as a soak followed by a water rinse.
