Sterilex Ultra Disinfectant Cleaner Solution 1 and Sterilex Ultra Activator Solution is the most cost effective waterline treatment on the market. It uses Sterilex proprietary PerQuat® technology, which is specifically designed to kill pathogens, improve biosecurity and protect animal health throughout the pre-harvest stage of the food production value chain.
Unlike many competitive line “cleaners” that either do not have the required EPA registration to kill organisms or are only approved to kill gram-negative organisms, Sterilex products are EPA registered to disinfect and sanitize waterlines. Sterilex’s proprietary PerQuat® technology is the only chemistry with products approved to remove biofilm from a wide variety of public health and industrial surfaces including waterlines.*
Using Sterilex Ultra Disinfectant Cleaner Solution 1 and Sterilex Ultra Activator Solution leads to higher animal liveability rates and greater yields as a result of drinking clean, uncontaminated water. Our product eliminates organic matter and scale from lines, resulting in less clogging and better flow.
Sterilex Ultra Disinfectant Cleaner Solution 1 and Sterilex Ultra Activator’s benefits include efficacy against slime forming bacteria in poultry waterlines, and killing organisms such as Salmonella, Avian influenza and other poultry and swine pathogens.
Sterilex products provide the greatest efficacy at the lowest cost to treat. Dr. Susan Watkins of the University of Arkansas tested Sterilex Ultra Disinfectant Cleaner Solution 1 and Sterilex Ultra Activator Solution against competitive line cleaners and found the Sterilex product “had the greatest reduction in APC with more than 4 log reduction.”
The two-part liquid product can be applied in two different ways: it can be pre-mixed in its concentrated form and then added to the line using a Venturi applicator. Alternatively, it can be pre-mixed and diluted in a holding vessel and then pumped into the water lines using a sump pump. Once the product is in the lines, it soaks overnight and is then flushed out with water in the morning.
