Sterilex Corporation, and its founder, Dr. Shira Kramer, have been awarded a Maryland Industrial Partnerships (MIPS) 25th Anniversary Impact Award in the category of Woman-Owned Company.

Maryland Industrial Partnerships accelerates technology commercialization by providing funding for collaborative research projects between companies and faculty in the University of Maryland system and other Maryland Universities.

Shira Kramer has been president of Sterilex Corporation since its inception in 1995 and has been instrumental in its growth during the past 17 years.

When asked about the award, Dr Kramer commented, “Sterilex is honored to receive this award from MIPS, which has supported the vital role of life science innovation in the economy of the state of Maryland. I would like to acknowledge the significant contribution of the employees of Sterilex in the continuing growth of our company.”
